At the time when it ceased its operations, Air Berlin Europe's tenth-largest airline in terms of passengers carried. Air Berlin had its main hubs at Berlin Tegel Airport and Dusseldorf Airport. The airline was a member of the Oneworld Alliance, and owned the subsidiary Belair in Switzerland. Before being ceased, the airline flew to destinations such as Berlin, Budapest, Paris, Prague, Florence, Milan, Barcelona, Venice, Rome, and more.
