American Airlines announced Tuesday it plans to offer new service from Chicago to Cozumel, Mexico. The new flight will only be available on Saturdays from February 12 though April 2, 2011. The flight will then be available in the winter season again in November 2011.
"We're very excited to be offering this new flight from Chicago O'Hare
to Cozumel," said Tom Aichele, American's Vice President – Central
Division Passenger Sales. "Midwesterners enjoy traveling to Mexico and
other sunny, warm destinations during the cold winter months and this
new flight will give them yet another location to enjoy."
Flights will depart from Chicago each Saturday at 9:50am and arrive in Cozumel at 1:40pm on AA flight 1867. Flights from Cozumel to Chicago will depart at 2:45pm and arrive at 6:35pm on AA flight 1870.
From Chicago, American also offers service to other destinations in
Mexico – Acapulco, Cancun, San Jose del Cabo, Puerto Vallarta and,
starting Dec. 16, daily nonstop service to Mexico City.
