U.S. Moving Americans by Ferry
U.S. officials have announced that they will be transporting Americans by ship from Tripoli to the island of Malta at 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities were looking to move U.S. citizens by air but never received the proper permission from Libyan officials.
According to the report by the Daily News, there are an estimated 5,000 Americans residing in Libya. Those looking to depart will be helped on a first-come, first-serve basis. People dealing with medical issues will be given priority.
However, U.S. officials are unsure if they can dock their ship upon arrival.
