What this tiny town is mostly known for is the Banaue Rice Terraces. Nicknamed the “Eighth Wonder of the World” by locals, the terraces were carved into the mountains of Ifugao 2,000 years ago. Now considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is said that the lengthy terrace clusters could span half the globe if placed end to end.
