The Most Photogenic Beaches of Miami, Flickr: digitalrex00

Miami is the place to go if you’re looking for a sunny beach vacation. With miles of white sand and turquoise waters, every day is a beach day! (As long as the weather is cooperating.) The city of Miami is extremely photogenic; with images of the Art Deco buildings, Cuban food and dramatic sunsets. But where can you go to find the most breathtaking beaches for nice photographs, romantic proposals or just good ole’ fashion beach loving?

Lummus Park on South Beach: There are no flights to Miami without visiting the famous SoBe area. Did you know this area was once a coconut farm? We can absolutely feel the tropical vibe of a place that is now a trendy, international beach spot. This is where you go to get photographs of clean, beautiful coastline. You can also be brave and snap some shots of the cute lifeguards stationed. If people-watching is your thing, you’ll spend hours observing locals and tourists in their natural habitat at Lummus Park Beach (in the photo). Or, you can enjoy taking countless photographs of your feet in the crystal clear waters.

Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park: When you think of Miami, you imagine beautiful people traveling in luxury cars, shopping and tanning during the day and partying at night. While this may be true, there are so many sides to this beach city. If you’re looking for quiet and pristine nature, Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park is the beach for you. It’s a delightful place for outdoor activities that the whole family can enjoy. You can enjoy snorkeling, kayaking, fishing, hiking and more. Enjoy your photo opportunity of unspoiled Miami at its best.

Bal Harbour Beach: If you’ve been to Miami a few times already and visited the first two beaches mentioned, you may be looking for something different. Go to where the tourists are almost nonexistent, further North in Miami. Bal Harbour Beach is the beautiful, best kept secret of Miami. Apparently, many seashells come to shore around this area. Capturing photographs of these colorful seashells against the transparent water is just too great of a shot to miss out on. Note: If you’re spending a day at this beach, note there are no lifeguards, restrooms or changing facilities; this is pure beach.

Haulover Beach: Some folks take their tanning seriously and hate obnoxious tan lines. That’s right- you guessed that Haulover Beach is indeed a legal nude beach. We’re not advocating you take photographs that could be scandalous, because there is a section that is less adult friendly. Catch the surfers making waves on the water; as this is a great spot to do so. We love the colorful boards, wet suits and action shots of expert surfers doing what they do best.

Sunny Isles Beach: Just by the name itself, Sunny Isles Beach sounds like a place where you can have some fun in the sun while visiting Miami. It was once the location of MTV’s “Spring Break,” but luckily, isn’t known for that. This upscale area is home to million dollar residences with famous inhabitants such as Bill Gates, Paul Newman and Ricky Martin. While you’d love to photograph these celebs, you’ll be better off capturing a nice sunset here.
