In Dublin, the St. Patrick’s Festival was turned into a week long celebration (12-17) to encourage a bigger celebration, rather than just celebrating a parade. In 2007, over 100 million people attended the festival. Aside from the parade, you can also indulge in street-theatre, family carnivals, comedy and other random spectacles.
