It’s that time of year again—spring break! Get ready to hang up the book bag and break out the tote bag—close the computer screen and pour on the sun screen. We could go on and on, but you get the gist. After all those exams, you may feel overdue for a vacation. Luckily, we know just where you should consider traveling to. Here’s what to pack, see, and eat at seven of the best spots to bring in the spring!
1.) Austin, TX
What to Pack: shades, shorts, cowboy boots
What to Do: Enjoy Texas’s longest zip-line at Lake Travis Zip-line, the SXSW music festival, and Austin’s street art, Murals and Mosaics.
What to Eat: Austin Eats Food Tour and Austin Brew Bus will give you plenty of foodie options, cooked Texas style!
2.) New Orleans, LA
What to Pack: sundress or chinos, walking shoes, shades
What to Do: This city is very walker friendly, so you may be doing a lot of it. If you’re visiting for the first time, make sure to check out New Orleans’ famous French Quarter, Bourbon Street, and its Airboat Adventures-Swamp Tours.
What to Eat: Seafood gumbo, crab claws, and oysters over rice!
3.) Miami, FL
What to Pack: umbrella, sun screen, bikini, swim trunks

What to Eat: Huachinango (snapper) and mero (grouper) are two very popular — and very delicious — dishes. If you’re looking for a cool souvenir, stop by any local shop and pickup Xtabentun. It’s a liqueur made from honey, a major product in the Yucatan.
What to Pack: passport, European adapter, flip flops
What to Do: Santorini is composed of a group of islands, so there’s a lot to see during your trip. Explore Oia, go on a wine tour, or go sailing!

6.) San Diego, CA

What to Eat: Mini desserts at Extraordinary Desserts, guacamole nogada, and bacon-wrapped dates!
7.) Cancun, Mexico
What to Pack: sunscreen, a hat, blow-up floating pool mattress
What to Do: Of course we can’t leave out one of the most popular spring break spots there is! Between scuba diving, Chichén Itzá, and fly-board adventure, it’s no wonder why spring breakers still flock to Cancun every year.
