Food for Car Nuts!

Crazy about cars? Keen to connect with your inner race car driver? Or maybe you’re in need of a safe outlet to let loose some pent up road rage? Whether you simply hope to marvel at an array of sleek machines or have a try at driving them yourself, Mercedes-Benz World – just a short train then taxi ride from Central London’s Waterloo Station – offers a memorable day out for anybody who goes ga-ga over vroom-vrooms.

The flagship of Mercedes-Benz in the UK, this family attraction is located at the world famous Brooklands in leafy and suburban Weybridge, Surrey. Home of the first purpose-built motor racing circuit constructed in 1907, Brooklands is the birthplace of British motor sport, aviation, the legendary Concorde jet and a whole slew of engineering and technological advances achieved throughout eight decades of the 20th century … oh yes, Brooklands is well worth a visit in and of itself the next time you book flights to London!

Guests at Mercedes-Benz World can get behind the wheel of some of the latest model Mercs to take advantage of the Brooklands track and put their driving skills (as well as the absolute limits of their chosen car) to the test in one of the various Driving Experiences offered. They’ve even got a Driving Experience for children and those without much driving experience! And don’t worry, there’s always going to be a pro in the passenger seat taking you through the course and offering tips on how to safely maximize the potential of these metallic beasts.

Inside Mercedes-Benz World’s shiny and modern shrine to one of Europe’s most beloved and iconic automobiles, you can stroll through the informative museum while admiring the multitude of Mercs – from the earliest models to super futuristic prototypes – parked throughout the site’s showroom floor not to mention admiring those Mercedes racing about the curvaceous handling circuit outside via the building’s huge windows and terrace expertly designed to take it all in.

There’s a great little cafe on premises along with a sit-down restaurant with track side views and even a nearby hotel within walking distance and, of course, plenty of other awesome all-ages activities in and around the Weybridge area for folks wishing to make the most of their time at Mercedes-Benz World or extend their stay to take in more of Surrey. And keep in mind, Mercedes-Benz World makes an excellent choice of venue for conferences and lots of other special occasions.
