Libyan refugees arrive at the Tunisia border after fleeing their homes

In retaliation to a proposed no-fly zone over Libya, Muammar Gaddafi’s regime has officially closed Libyan airspace to all international traffic.

The announcement comes on the heels of a United Nations vote which approved the international body to take “all necessary measures” short of invasion to protect Libyan civilians.

Following the vote, Great Britain, France, and the United States are now planning a no-fly zone over Libya to prevent Gaddafi from carrying out air strikes on his people.
