Hawaii hotel occupancy up in 2010 Hawaii said 'Aloha' to more visitors in the first half of 2010 as steady room occupancy helped the state slightly improve, according to an industry report released Monday.

For the month of June alone, Hawaii hotels saw an average occupancy rate of 71.4 percent, which is an increase of  9.6 percent from last June.

The first half of 2010 saw occupancy and room revenue on the rise when compared to the same time a year ago.

However, room occupancy in Hawaii is still far below what it was three years ago.
