Classy Cape Town, SA’s Coolest City


Named as a top destination in 2011, Cape Town has seen an unexpected boom in tourism. Perhaps it’s time to consider flights to Cape Town an experience South Africa’s friendliest city for yourself.

A 14 percent increase in international arrivals at Cape Town International Airport is just one of many signs that the city is becoming the vacation spot of choice. The city’s tourist peak occurs during January and February in the midst of South Africa’s summer.

The city boasts a warm to mild climate despite being one of the most southern points along the Cape of Good Hope. The strong winds make for excellent surfing at beaches such as Koeëlbaai.

It’s not all about sun, sea and sand, however. While the city is naturally stunning, Table Mountain was acclaimed as a New7Wonders of Nature, Cape Town has further become the country’s culture capital.

Eating out at the signature Azure Restaurant at The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa, or enjoying portside drinks at Granger Bar situated on a stunning Granger Bay beach will certainly justify the city’s tourist boom.

Delicious South African game meals, a buzzing nightlife and friendly locals are some of the many reasons why tourists just can’t get enough of Cape Town this year.

Another big draw it the city’s affordability, where local currency the South African rand gives tourists more bang for their buck. Just a quick browse through will certify that the Cape’s coolest city boasts cheap flights and hotel deals.

Following the great success of 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, there’s never been a better time to take a Cape Town vacation.
