Boeing Now Has 30 Days to Challenge Fine
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) served Boeing with a $1.05 million proposed fine on Monday.
According to the USA Today report it was for “improper assembly of the emergency oxygen systems on nine of its 777 jetliners.”
The error was found in the tubing carrying the oxygen for passengers. Instead of being straight to deliver oxygen, they were at an angle.
FAA found the mistakes during inspections in 2010.
Boeing now has 30 days to appeal the fine.
