American Airlines launches iPhone Application
Monday, American Airlines released the first version of its iPhone application. The free application for iPhone and iPod Touch provides customers with a new way to stay connected with the airline while they are traveling.
It’s the most recent in a series of technology improvements from the airline to enhance customer service and give customers more control over their travel experiences.
The iPhone application allows for American to offer the most pertinent day-of-travel information. The application knows who the customer is and where they are going, from where they are departing and what gate, to where they will sit and where they are on the standby list, once they are logged into the application.
With the new application, customers are able to manage a long list of activities, from viewing personal flight details, to setting parking reminders.
