Alaska Airlines Testing iPad with a Select Group of Pilots

Alaska Airlines Testing iPads in the Cockpit

Alaska Airlines is currently testing the iPad tablet with select pilots.

Pilots are said to be wearing the iPad wrapped around their right leg.

The measure is being considered to reduce the number of maps and other paperwork that is spread out through a cockpit.

The Spokeswoman for Alaska Airlines, Maryanne Lindsay, was quoted saying they expect to hear from the pilots in about two weeks on whether they’d like to proceed in testing the mobile devices further.
