Myrtle Beach

One of the best things about 24 hours in Myrtle Beach is that the airport is so close to everything. Unless you're further north in the North Myrtle Beach and Barefoot Landing area, you can be to the airport from most places in 10 minutes. This also means that you can typically get around pretty quickly in Myrtle Beach.

Start off by heading to the infamous Myrtle Beach strip. Toward the north end of the strip is Sea Captain's House. One of the most popular restaurants in Myrtle Beach, it features a filling breakfast that is second to none. Some of the breakfast items include eggs benedict, seafood omelet, waffles, pancakes and their specialty: crab cakes benedict.

Fight off that desire for a nap by walking down the strip toward the south end. There are several places where you can access the beach along the strip. Water sports that guests can do along the beach include jet skiing, kayaking, and parasailing. There's also a pier for fishing.

After an early afternoon at the beach, head to Broadway at the Beach. Broadway at the Beach is an outdoor shopping center, restaurant, and entertainment district. With tons of shops, restaurants, nightclubs, a movie theater, and IMAX, visitors could easily spend an entire day. It features several different restaurants that would make a good spot for an early dinner. Grab a piece of fudge or an ice cream cone to enjoy as you walk on the boardwalk.

End your evening in Myrtle Beach at BB&T Coastal Field. During the spring and summer the Class A Myrtle Beach Pelicans take to the diamond a few evenings a week. If you're lucky, you might even get a fireworks show at the end of the game. The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are a Texas Rangers affiliate.
