Thanksgiving is traditionally a holiday in which American families gather with relatives to enjoy a large home-cooked meal. However, dining out on Turkey Day is becoming an increasingly popular choice for many American families and restaurants.
More and more eateries are opening their doors each year on Thanksgiving, welcoming families who may be traveling or those just looking for a more convenient holiday dinner. A recent survey suggests that 14 million Americans (roughly six percent of American adults) will dine out this Thanksgiving.
An additional 16 million will use restaurant takeout items to supplement their home-cooked meal, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
Would you ever dine out on Thanksgiving? Or is it strictly a home-cooked holiday for your family? Let us know in a comment.
