The celebrated early January, Mississippi Blues Marathon includes 26.2-mile marathon and the 13.1-mile half marathon. It is one of the main Mississippi events and festivals. The event also features live blue musicians playing around the course and also showcases various arts and crafts vendors and various food stalls.

Rivergate Festival, Tunica

Celebrated mid to late April, Rivergate Festival highlights music, cooking, and fun for the family. It organizes great competitive barbecues in which teams battle to produce the best pork barbecue. The festival also includes performances by Nashville artists, Funland Children's Activity, and Running of the Hawgs.

Coliseum Crawfish Music Festival, Gulfport/Biloxi

A popular event in Biloxi, Coliseum Crawfish Music Festival boasts the resource of over 20,000 lbs of Cajun mudbugs, exciting fun rides, the Crawfish Cookoff in which the natives of the city compete for cash and the coveted Budweiser trophies, and a plethora of events and fun for the children. This festival is celebrated mid to late April.
