Books & Books is a huge bookstore with three different locations in Miami, and they have all kinds of different events daily. Meet an up-and-coming author, get your book signed from someone famous, or join a book club. The bookstores also have tons of cool conferences and lectures on all kinds of topics, from reading and writing to psychic experiences and cooking!
Crandon Park Beach
Of course, Miami is full of beaches. That’s one of the things the city is known for! Some beaches are county or state-owned, meaning the activities are free. One of the better beaches for beach-goers on a budget is Crandon Park Beach. In addition to beautiful water and sand, this park has picnic areas, beach volleyball, an educational nature center, and a family play area, making it one of the best beaches to visit for families.
The Wolfsonian-FIU Museum
The Magic City is home to some wonderful art experiences that visitors can enjoy as soon as they hop off their flights to Miami. The Wolfsonian-FIU museum is a great place to start your artsy adventure. This museum features a collection of American and European art created in the 1800s and 1900s and has some very cool historical artifacts, including World’s Fair posters and propaganda art. Admission is not always free, but head there on a Friday evening and the fee is waived.

SoundScape at New World Center has a gorgeous outdoor theater offering free pre-recorded concerts, video art, and films shown on their giant 7,000 square foot projection screen. Interested in the history of one of Miami’s most famous hotel? Or maybe you just want to see how the celebrities travel in style? This beautiful hotel offers free tours every Sunday, allowing you to walk through the hotel’s interior and gorgeous grounds.
Want to explore Miami’s nightlife and music scene? Many nightclubs and music venues charge a huge cover fee for admission, but Jazid is a free venue that has a variety of artists and shows every night. Jazid is known as a jazz club, but you’ll find a variety of music represented on different nights. While there’s no cover charge, be prepared to pay if you want to enjoy their bar. Drinking isn’t free, unfortunately!
