Fairbanks Travel Guide & Information

Fairbanks – a.k.a. "The Golden Heart City" – a prominent and prolific city of Alaska, sit on the banks of the Chena River and its glorious plains. Perhaps the primitive rawness, the abundance in gold and the phenomenal Northern Lights offered by cities like Fairbanks is what attracts true adventurers like the non-fiction tragic hero Christopher McCandless (most of you would know him as the character played by Emile Hirsch in the movie, Into the Wild) to Alaska. A romantic vacation awaits you under the restless-unsetting Midnight Sun that begins with the summer solstice as its gentle iridescence illuminates the gentles waters of the Chena River and its ever-stretching plains.
