Kapaleeshwarar Temple

The Kapaleeshwarar Temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva and is located in Chennai. The temple is built in Dravidian architecture and dates back to around 7th century CE. Devotees come here to worship the consort of Lord Shiva, Parvati who is called Karpagambal meaning the ‘Goddess of the Wish-Yielding Tree.’

Parthasarathy Temple

One of the oldest structures in Chennai, the Parthasarathy Temple is a nearly 1300 year old Vaishnavite temple dedicated to the god Krishna. It finds ample praises in by some early medieval Alvar saints from the 6th-9th centuries CE). The name 'Parthasarathy' is a Sanskrit term that implies the 'charioteer of Arjuna' as Lord Krishna in Mahabharat.

Ramakrishna Math

Ramakrishna Math is a monastic organization for men brought into existence by Ramakrishna (1836–1886), a 19th-century saint of Bengal. It is the first branch center of the Ramakrishna Order in Southern India and was founded in 1897 by Swami Ramakrishnananda, one of the direct disciples of Ramakrishna.
