This alpha-grade ten-storied Hindu temple is located about 30 kilometers away from Ahmadabad and is located in the state capital Gandhinagar. It is built as a delightful sum of 6000 tons of pink sandstone that are seamlessly translated into 97 sculpted pillars, 17 domes and 264 scuplted figures, center to which all is a seven-foot-tall, gold-leafed sacred image of Lord Swaminarayan.

Calico Textile Museum

Regarded as one of the finest textile museums in the world, the Calico Textile museum in Ahmedabad scores a perfect ten for its remarkable collection of nearly 400 year old and rare textiles (the oldest of which dates back to the 17th century). This museum is home to a remarkable collection of textiles, clothes, furniture, temple artifacts and handicrafts besides some of the country’s finest spun, woven, printed and painted fabrics. It was built in 1949 and is now based in one of Gujarat's famous carved wooden mansions (or havelis).
