Wisconsins event city, Oshkosh, is one of the most happening places in America. EAA AirVenture Oshkosh is the numero uno reason for you to come here, especially if you love anything that has both wings and wheels. This show is hallmarked by a breathtaking show of some jaw-dropping aerobatic maneuvers by nearly 1 aircraft and show planes in front of more than a million spectators and scores of media representatives from across the world. This show lasts for a week in July or August, and leaves the control towers of the nearby Wittman Regional Airport the busiest in the world during this period.
EAA AirVenture Museum
The EAA AirVenture Museum is home to more than 2 aircraft and 2 artifacts of historic importance. You would here a stellar show of vintage, homebuilt, racing and stunt aircraft- central to which are functional replicas of the Wright Flyer and some French and German World War I fighter planes. This museum is located close to Wittman Regional Airport and the site of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh event.
Paine Art Center and Gardens
The Paine Art Center and Gardens in Oshkosh is a nearly 1 years old estate built in Tudor Revival and Tudor Gothic architectural styles that stands inclusive of a mansion, an art gallery and some magnificent gardens. You would be enchanted to see a superb collection of French Barbizon School and American paintings, sculptures and decorative woodworks besides some stylish Persian rugs, tapestries and English and American silverwares inside. The same exquisiteness hangs over the estate's landscape gardens too as they royally feature several thousand plant species across twenty segmented thematic displays related to the citys historical, traditional and contemporary identities.
