The Museum of the Great Plains A history museum located in Lawton, The Museum of the Great Plains boasts exhibits revealing the varied cultures inhabiting the Great Plains region starting with the arrival of the Paleo-Indians known as the Clovis culture at about 11,5 BC. An assortment of educational programs is also offered in the museum all around the year. The Museum of the Great Plains is one of five partner museums in the Oklahoma Museum Network.
