Comanche National Museum & Cultural Center is home to an array of collections including fine art, military items, and the Egli and Chibitty collections. There is also a library and photo archives available on the site.
The Museum of the Great Plains A history museum located in Lawton, The Museum of the Great Plains boasts exhibits revealing the varied cultures inhabiting the Great Plains region starting with the arrival of the Paleo-Indians known as the Clovis culture at about 11,5 BC. An assortment of educational programs is also offered in the museum all around the year. The Museum of the Great Plains is one of five partner museums in the Oklahoma Museum Network.
Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge & Visitor's Center An excellent place for wildlife lovers, nature buffs, and adventure enthusiasts, Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge & Visitor's Center is located near Lawton and spans over 59, acres of land. This park is home to fauna species including Texas longhorn cattle, elk, free range buffalo, and deer. The incredible scenery astounds hikers and photographers.
