Welcome to the city of luxurious cars, flashing cameras, plush red carpets, pricey attires and beaming glitterati- opulence at its very best, you would say. The French city of Cannes is all but soaked in posh elegance and glamour, and you would find its stellar best wrapped in a gleaming bubblewrap of the annual Cannes Film Festival and Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. This French city is a delicate sum of an electric seaside ambiance and golden beach plus vibrant nightlife, casinos, stately mansions, castles and museums at any given point of time. You would indeed be missing a lot of life happening around the world if this city of multi-toned posh and elegance (that rubs its shoulders with fashionistas and remains en vogue throughout the year) is not on the top of your travel itinerary this holiday season.

Places of Interest in Cannes
Cannes Film Festival is the worlds most famous film festival. It is the core of Cannes enduring reputation, and it essentially revolves around a number of cinestars that walk on the legendary Red Carpet here, flaunting expensive attires and holding an award or two in their hands while their movies are being screened in Marche du Film, the world's biggest film market. Festival de Cannes will celebrate its 7th anniversary edition from 17 to 28 May 217.
Promenade de la Croisette or La Croisette
The Promenade de la Croisette is a world-famous road in Cannes that would lead you to the Palais des Festivals et des Congres, the convention centre that hosts the iconic Cannes Film Festival every year in May. This road is basically a seaside promenade that runs along the Mediterranean Sea and is dotted with a number of elegant villas and posh boutiques. Walking past here in a car would perhaps give you a very clear idea as to what degree of majestic opulence money can buy.
Le Sequet
Le Suquet is a bayside old quarter of Cannes where the fishermen once used to live 4 years ago. It has a timeless maze of several old houses and cobbled lanes that are mesmerizingly hallmarked by a clock tower and church that stand lording over the Bay of Cannes and the city. You can also derive a spectacular eating and dining experience at Marche Forville that is situated at a 5-1 minutes walk from Rue du Suquet, the original main road into Cannes that is mostly not open to motorized traffic.
