Museo del Jade (The Jade Museum)

Museo Nacional (or National Museum)
The National Museum in San Jose is home to a world-class butterfly garden and a collection of several stone spheres dating back to Pre-Columbian era. This museum is housed inside a 100-year-old fortress that was used as a military barrack and was a silent witness to the country's 1948 civil war.
Museo del Oro Precolombino (Pre-Columbian Gold Museum)
The Pre-Columbian Gold Museum in San Jose is home to a world-class collection of over 1600 artifacts made of gold and dating back to 500 AD. Among the collection are famous Costa Rica's first coin mited in 1825, several animal figurines, amulets, earrings, and a life-sized gold-capped warrior figure.
