Mount Kaputar National Park
Mount Kaputar National Park is located about 32 miles away from Narrabri.
This national park is located on the foothills of a 4954 feet high volcanic

volcanic plugs, and dykes and is very popular among rock climbers and

feet at diameter each and deliver radio images of the skies above. The
Australia Telescope Compact Array also lets its visitors observe the
operations through various informational displays and audiovisual
presentations.
Narrabri's Old Gaol
The Narrabri's Old Gaol was opened in 1882 and operated for exactly a
hundred years thereafter. It is situated as a part of some colonial
government buildings in Narrabari and was turned into a museum in 1988. It
has a remarkable collection of artifacts that tell an interesting tale of
the local history and culture of late 19th century. A star
highlight here is the Dalway Collection that has several documents,
uniforms and paintings of Irishman who had come to Australia in early 19 th century.

Held at Narrabari Racecourse every year in September and October, the

Narrabri Show
Narrabri Show (established in 1873 and celebrated annually in May) is a

crafts, sideshows, fireworks, trotting, and harness and draught horse
events. These together are allied with events like the Young Farmers
Challenge and the Ladies Auxiliary that are present delicious food items
for spectators. Young children will like to take time out for an animal
nursery with some quiet baby animals like lambs etc.
Getting Around Narrabari
Narrabari lies nearly midway between Brisbane and Sydney. It is served by
regional airline Fly Corporate that connects visitors to and from Brisbane.
There is also a railway station since 1897 and connects Narrabari to Sydney
