Located six miles northwest of the Central Business District of Avalon, California, Catalina Airport is a privately owned airport in the middle of Catalina Island. The airport is also known as “the Airport in the Sky,” as it lies near the island's highest point at an elevation of 1,602 feet. Catalina Airport is opened to public, and general aviation aircrafts are allowed to land here on specifying the reason and upon payment of a fee. Catalina Airport is mainly used for general aviation. There are no scheduled passenger flights to or from the airport. Initially, the airport was opened as "Buffalo Springs Airport," in the late 1930s, and scheduled passenger service was briefly provided by United Airlines in DC-3s. CheapOair Customer Reviews

  • Banff via Cheap O Air

Banff and the flight were both great. CheapOair did a great job communicating and making it easy to be the passenger - staying easily connected with the airlines for check-in etc. Banff is an absolutely amazing place and I love what I saw of Canada. Did the 3 mountains on a ski vacation - for us (not overly experienced skiers) - Sunshine is perfect and family friendly - Lake Louise is pretty and a little too hard even on the greens...and Mr Norquay is the most amazing view ever - the tubing and the view are the fun there. Town of Banff is great and the shuttle service everywhere makes things easy for the visitor. Thank you for the hospitality into your countrty. - Jane  Mar 16, 2020
