Hume Dam
Hume Dam is a famous dam built across an impounded reservoir called Lake
Hume of the Murray River in New South Wales, Australia. It is located less
than 10 miles away from the city of Albury. Lake Hume is believed to
contain nearly six times the volume of water in Sydney Harbour. This lake
is full of a large variety of fish and is considered an alpha place for
water skiing in the city. Visitors can also attend the 'Frank Harrison
Classic', a marathon canoe race below the dam every year in February.
Monument Hill
Monument Hill is home to a war memorial erected to honor soldiers who had
served in the First World War. This memorial was built in 1924 and is
seconded by a Memorial Bowl (placed at some distance below) to honor the
soldiers who had served in the Second World War. This hill is surrounded by
a wide range of native flora and fauna, and the visitors climbing all the
way up to the top are rewarded with panoramic views of the twin cities

Murray Art Museum Albury
The Murray Art Museum Albury (formerly known as the Albury Regional Art
Gallery) is a contemporary art museum in Albury. It is built as a sum of 10
gallery spaces over two levels that have dedicated displays related to the
country’s Aboriginal artists. This museum’s opening exhibition, called
Wiradjuri Ngurambanggu (meaning ‘On Wiradjuri Country’) was focused on
contemporary indigenous artists and was critically acclaimed in the city.
Albury Botanic Gardens
Opened in 1877, the Albury Botanic Gardens is an award-winning series of
gardens in the city of Albury. The garden is hallmarked by its artistic
layout and designing, and for its wide range of flora species. These
gardens specialize in Australian rainforest specimens. Young children will
also have a gala time here in the Children's Garden that has many trails, a
life-sized dinosaur, speaking tubes, a fairy temple and a troll cave.

Write Around the Murray
A regular magnet of world-class authors, the Write Around the Murray is a
five-day event of reading, writing and storytelling in Albury. The event
