Tips on Buying Tickets to New York

The downside of visiting a world famous destination is that irrespective of the season of travel, it's mighty difficult to get hotel bookings and cheap airfare. Same is the case with the city of New York. Whether you are traveling in the summer, winter, fall or spring, be prepared for costly airfares and occupied hotel rooms. The only way you can save those extra bucks is by planning your travel. Try and plan your vacation during winters (December-February) when the tourist rush is minimum and the temperatures are on the chilly side. Second, book your air tickets and confirm your hotel booking at least three weeks in advance. If you follow these two rules, in all probability, New York won't be able to burn a hole in your pocket.

Regional New York Airports

The city of New York is connected to worldwide destinations thanks to its three major airports. John F. Kennedy International Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport and LaGuardia Airport are the three airports that serve the city. Boasting of efficient ground transportation options, all these airports are well connected to the city. Private taxis, bus service and car rentals are just some of the ways in which you can travel to/from the airport. Since a vacation in New York City doesn't come cheap, it's advisable to save money wherever you can. One of the tips for getting the cheapest flights to New York City is by booking your airfare at least three weeks in advance, its one rule that always works.

New York City Traveler's Reviews

5I love NYC
NYC is absolutely fabulous. Buy the metro pass good for a week. Great value. Venture out into the neigbourhood to find awesome places to eat. Carry cash for restaurants and food vendors. Talk to people while standing in line. Look at the length of the lines for food vendors. The longer the line the better the food. Go the the US Open tennis tournament. Art museums are incredible. Love going to see a show on Broadway! Buy a ground pass. Food cheaper outside the venue. Need help? Ask someone in a uniform. Police and metro employees are friendly and helpful. - Lary  Aug 31, 20145First time in New York City
New York City was awesome! Spent quality time at several places instead of rushing to see as much as possible. Saved them for the next trip. Lucky to have encountered nothing but friendly people every where we went. Central Park picnic..you should do it! - Mark  Jul 28, 2014
