Sabarmati Ashram
The Sabarmati Ashram was set up in the year 1915. It was the central point

museum, library, auditorium, and photo galleries. The exhibits of the
museum revel about the life of Gandhiji. It also holds letters written by

Akshardham Temple
The Akshardham Temple is situated in the city of Gandhinagar. It lies
around 30 kilometers away from the city of Ahmedabad. Constructed in the
year 1992, the temple is dedicated to the Lord Swaminarayan. It is one of
the largest temples in Gujarat. The major highlight of the temple is the 7
feet tall idol of Lord Swaminarayan, the chief deity of temple. The temple
complex comprises of a beautiful garden known as Sahajanand Van, herbal
garden, lake, a waterfall, and the Akshardham Center for Applied Research
in Social Harmony (AARSH).
Rani Rupmati Mosque
The Rani Rupmati Mosque was constructed in between 1430-1440 AD by Sultan
Mehmud Beghara. It is situated in the northern part of the city of
Ahmedabad and has been named after the wife of the Sultan, Rani Rupmati.
The mosque has three domes that are duly supported by pillars. The central
dome illuminates the mosque with natural light. The design of the mosque
represents a blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture. Its prayer hall
consists of exquisite carvings.
