ground floor is now used as a museum and draws a huge crowd every year.
Devanahalli Fort
Devanahalli Fort, situated in Devanahalli, lies nearly 35 kilometers away
from the city of Bangalore. It was initially constructed in the year 1501
by Mallabaire Gowda. The present fort was built by Haidar Ali and Tipu
Sultan. Its entrances are decorated with cut plasterwork. The bastions have
gun points built with lime and brick. Situated near the fort is the birth
place of Tipu Sultan.
