Tarom Airlines (RO) is the oldest airline still in service of Romania, it is the largest and flagship carrier of the country. It is headquartered in Bucharest and its chief hub is also at the city's airport, Henri Coanda International Airport. The airline holds the placard of being the largest airline of the country in size and number of passengers serviced. Tarom has 23 aircrafts in its fleet with 4 more pending delivery, these crafts fly to 53 destinations both domestic and internationally. Tarom has joined the omnipresent SkyTeam alliance which opens the doors to many codeshare agreements and alliances with other airlines and offers many more services and destinations to its passengers.

Classes of Service
Tarom Airlines offers two classes of service Business and Economy Class.

Business Class: This class offers wider and more roomy seats than the Economy counterpart, leather upholstery, USB ports, T.V screens, blankets, pillows and more. The food for this class is specially ordered by chef Antoine Bernard every day, meals are divided according to long haul or short haul flights and have less or more calories respectively.

Economy Class: Being a shade lower in luxury than the business class it does not compromise on comfort and convenience of its passengers. Roomy seats, USB ports, blankets etc are provided. The food is designed specially to cater to a wide customer base keeping in mind the taste and nutrition requirements.

In-flight Amenities
  • The unique thing about Tarom's menu is that it is adjusted according to the direction where the customers are headed. The menu is altered according to local palate and culinary discernment. The company offers free of charge special menus. Both snacks as well as full meals have a desert packed in them depending on the time of the day.
  • Tarom offers an in-flight magazine called Insight. The magazine is published quarterly, and provides passengers with trivia, information, travel guide and interesting articles to peruse over the course of the flight.
Online Check-in
Online check-in facility can be used by the passengers to save time, hassles and choose their own seat. Boarding passes can be printed or downloaded to the mobile device to save long queues and in the comfort of one's own home. This service can also be used with the partner airlines of Tarom.
