They\u2019re in Dubai<\/a>, the world\u2019s leader in, well … almost everything. And soon, to welcome tourists from all over the world, Dubai is unveiling the world\u2019s first artificial jungle in a hotel – a true rainforest in the heart of this eccentric metropolis.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Rosemont Hotel and Residences <\/span><\/a>by ZAS Architects is a one-of-a-kind urban resort destination, taking the word \u201cluxury\u201d to a whole new level. The $550 million building will be the first on earth to have an indoor rainforest (75,000 square feet of it), in addition to its 448 hotel rooms and 280 furnished apartments. Located above the hotel\u2019s entertainment floor, the rainforest will be open air, and available for hotel guests, residents, and outside visitors.<\/span><\/p>\n

ZAS Dubai<\/a>\u2019s managing partner DJ Armin told the Huffington Post<\/a>,\u00a0\u201cYou\u2019ll have dense trees, canopies, some sun coming through, and during the summertime we will use the recycled condensation from the towers to have the mist coming down from the trees to cool down the air.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

A welcome retreat for those wishing to escape the hot desert sun, the cool rainforest is expected to attract the general public, especially during the hot Dubai summers. And just enjoying the rainforest isn\u2019t the only fun thing to do. A zip line will take visitors through the lush forest strapped into a harness. Later on, the resort hopes to offer skydiving as well — not off the staggeringly high building — but in the safety of a simulator, which should be equally thrilling.<\/span><\/p>\n

And if indoor rainforests and skydiving aren\u2019t enough to entice you, the resort will also feature a cantilevered infinity sky pool (with a glass bottom!), a trampoline park, aquarium, bowling alley, nightclub, <\/span>and <\/span><\/i>an artificial beach (sans sand, so you can enjoy the beach without getting your feet dirty).<\/span><\/p>\n

Greeted upon arrival by 4D animation (that changes daily) and robotic hosts, you\u2019ll be able to sit back and enjoy your stay in the rainforest while the robotic bellhops take care of your luggage – no tip required.<\/span><\/p>\n

Scheduled for completion in 2018, The Rosemont may just merit a trip to Dubai.<\/span><\/p>\n
