However you rode that first coaster, you probably felt no higher form of exhilaration.<\/p>\n<p>In honor of National Roller Coaster Day, we\u2019ve put together a list of the most stomach-churning, weightlessness-inducing, bladder-leakage causing, and downright absolutely terrifying coasters in America. Hold on tight!<\/p>\n<h2>Kingda Ka<\/h2>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sixflags.com\/greatadventure\" target=\"_blank\">Six Flag Great Adventure<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cheapoair.com\/flights\/cheap-flights-to-new-jersey-nj?fpaffiliate=blog\" target=\"_blank\">Jackson, NJ<\/a><\/h3>\n<h3><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/AfBBq04ZScE\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/h3>\n<p>Being the tallest steel roller coaster in the world (456 feet) not only gives this monster coaster bragging rights, but it also brings the thrills with an eye ball popping 418-foot drop at speeds of up to 128 mph from its zenith. With a series of solid steep drops and speeds exceeding 90 mph, you\u2019ll get off the ride feeling like a human yo-yo.<\/p>\n<h2>Cannibal<\/h2>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lagoonpark.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lagoon Amusement Park<\/a> \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cheapoair.com\/flights\/cheap-flights-to-utah-ut?fpaffiliate=blog\" target=\"_blank\">Farmington, UT<\/a><\/h3>\n<h3><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OG99hRkkn-Q\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/h3>\n<p>Debuting in July 2015, this new coaster on the block plummets into an underground tunnel, and features four inversions, including a unique inversion that consists of a counter-clockwise 360-degree roll followed immediately by a clockwise 360-degree roll. You\u2019ll also be able to experience the highest inversion in the world (a 170-foot drop).<\/p>\n<h2>Intimidator 305<\/h2>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingsdominion.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kings Dominion<\/a> \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cheapoair.com\/flights\/cheap-flights-to-virginia-va?fpaffiliate=blog\" target=\"_blank\">Doswell, VA<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0WpNSImh6Z8\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>While this NASCAR-themed coaster might look a bit run-of-the-mill at first glance, its hair-raising, low-to-the-ground turns will make you scream \u201cMommy!\u201d as you feel like you\u2019re going to scrape the gravel at any moment.
