World of Coca Cola<\/a><\/h3>\n

The World of Coca Cola is one of the most popular sites in Atlanta. Tour the impressive Coca Cola museum (featuring Coke paraphernalia both old and new). At the end of your tour, you\u2019ll be able to sample some of Coke\u2019s most famous products in the large tasting room (sugar rush, anyone?!).<\/p>\n

Make sure to save time for a 4-D journey around the world entitled “In Search of the Secret Formula.” The movie is in 3-D, while moving seats and other special effects in the theater make it an unforgettable 4-D experience. At the end of your visit, swing by the gift shop where you and the kids can purchase Coca Cola souvenirs.<\/p>\n

The expansive Atlanta History Center has plenty to offer families. While the fascinating Atlanta History Museum and Centennial Olympic Games Museum are better for older kids and adults, visitors of all ages will enjoy the Smith Family Farm.<\/p>\n

On Mondays-Saturdays from 11:00am-4:00pm and Sundays from 1:00-4:00pm, the Smith Family Farm hosts open houses for visitors to tour the Civil War era structures and interact with costumed interpreters. Visitors are encouraged to ask the members of the Smith family, their neighbors, and enslaved workers about how their lives were during the Civil War. Set the kids loose and watch as both informative and entertaining interactions ensue!<\/p>\n

From Toddler Time (an animal \u201cmeet and greet,\u201d story time, craft project, and snack) to Splash 101 (a chance for visitors to experience firsthand how aquarium staff trains their incredible dolphins), there\u2019s sure to be something to please every member of your family (yes, even the picky ones). Martin Luther King Jr. Historical Site<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Martin Luther King Jr. Historical Site includes a visitor\u2019s center, Martin Luther King\u2019s birth home, the \u201cI Have a Dream\u201d World Peace Rose Garden, the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Fire Station No. 6, and other important monuments related to Dr. King\u2019s life and work. It\u2019s sure to be an unforgettable and important experience for kids and adults alike. The National Park Service<\/a> provides information on how to plan the best visit for your family.<\/p>\n

Piedmont Park is a great place to take young travelers who need to burn off a bit of energy. Not only will they be able to climb around on a playscape designed by the famous artist Isamu Noguchi, they can also feed the ducks and take a dip in the pool at the Piedmont Aquatic Center. There are plenty of restaurants and caf\u00e9s nearby for when they work up an appetite (or if Mom and Dad need a cup of coffee).<\/p>\n
