If You\u2019re Headed to Salt Lake City<\/strong><\/h3>\n

When you think of Salt Lake City<\/a>, you probably think mostly of winter sports \u2013 skiing, snowboarding, and other snowy, outdoorsy activities. Fall, however, is a gorgeous time to visit \u2013 think foliage and fun!<\/p>\n

5th Annual Ginormous Pumpkin Regatta<\/h3>\n

First of all, if the name of this event alone doesn\u2019t make you want to go, we\u2019re not sure what else will. What does this entail, exactly? Well, it\u2019s exactly what it sounds like, folks. \u201cGinormous\u201d pumpkins are carved out, loaded into the pond at Sugar House Park, and essentially used as boats. Two fully grown adults attempt to row them without sinking to the bottom of the pond. How much does a \u201cginormous\u201d pumpkin weigh, you ask? Anywhere from 600 to 1,700 pounds \u2013 not the typical size you’d find at the local pumpkin patch. It\u2019s quite a site to see \u2013 you won\u2019t want to miss it.<\/p>\n

After spending the day in Salt Lake with those ginormous pumpkins, there\u2019s no better way to enjoy your Saturday night than with some college football. Head to Rice-Eccles Stadium to catch the action \u2013 tickets start at $68. If you don\u2019t want to drop that much money on the game, head to The Green Pig Pub to catch the game with a side of nachos and wings. Empty stomach recommended upon entry.<\/p>\n

Take A Hike!<\/h3>\n

Seriously, you\u2019ll want to take a hike while you\u2019re here \u2013 don\u2019t even leave town. Cecret Lake is one of Salt Lake\u2019s most popular hiking spots. Famous for its summer wildflowers, you\u2019ll be impressed by how photogenic it is. Soak in the beauty of the capital city\u2019s natural beauty while you\u2019re there.<\/p>\n

If You\u2019re Headed to Savannah<\/h2>\n

When in Georgia, Savannah<\/a> is a must-see. And there\u2019s no better time to visit than in October \u2013 Savannah is one of the most popular spooky spots to visit right around Halloween.<\/p>\n

Visit the Sorrel-Weed House<\/h3>\n

With architecture from the 1800s, some of Savannah\u2019s buildings are inevitably haunted \u2013 especially the Sorrel-Weed House. It\u2019s been featured on multiple TV shows, including HGTV\u2019s \u201cIf Walls Could Talk,\u201d the Travel Channel\u2019s \u201cThe Most Terrifying Places in America,\u201d and was investigated on \u201cGhost Hunters.\u201d Not enough to convince you that it\u2019s haunted? Go check it out for yourself on a Paranormal Ghost Tour. If you\u2019re not into the haunted aspect of it, we\u2019d recommend visiting in daylight \u2013 it\u2019s also known for something not-so-spooky\u2014the opening scene of Forrest Gump<\/em> was filmed here. Do yourself a favor and pay this place a visit. It\u2019s worth it.<\/p>\n

Kid-Friendly Tours<\/h3>\n

If you\u2019d prefer to steer clear from the spooky stuff, take a Riverboat Cruise or an Old Town Trolley Tour of the beautiful city! Sit back and relax with these unique views of the city\u00a0\u2013 spend the day learning about Savannah<\/a> and\u00a0its rich history, along with\u00a0hot spots to visit later on in the day.<\/p>\n

Head to Tybee Island<\/h3>\n

Though it\u2019s not summer anymore, it\u2019s still warm down in Georgia! Only 20 minutes east of Savannah, this little beach is worth spending the afternoon at. Sunbathing, swimming, biking, sailing, fishing \u2013 pick your activity and enjoy the day!<\/p>\n
