{"id":97167549,"date":"2010-08-08T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2010-08-08T09:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cheapoair.com\/miles-away\/yosemite-seeks-makeover-help-from-tourists\/"},"modified":"2010-08-08T09:00:00","modified_gmt":"2010-08-08T09:00:00","slug":"yosemite-seeks-makeover-help-from-tourists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cheapoair.com\/miles-away\/yosemite-seeks-makeover-help-from-tourists\/","title":{"rendered":"Yosemite Seeks Makeover Help from Tourists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\">\n&nbsp;\n<\/div>\n<p>\nTravelers will soon have the opportunity to help guide Yosemite rangers&rsquo; plans to refurbish viewing areas of the park&rsquo;s most popular granite icons.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\nOfficials of Yosemite declared a proposal this week to revamp popular over looks and vistas of the park&rsquo;s valued monoliths, including Glacier Point, Ulmsted Point and Tunnel View.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThe plans include removing cedar and pine trees and unkempt Manzanita to unlock vistas onto Bridalveil Falls, El Captain, Half Dome and additional peaks that encompass Ansel Adams&rsquo; photographs.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThe public has until the end of September 17 to comment on the presented plan. Rangers say the plan would enhance views at about 200 different viewpoints throughout the park.
