The massive order consist of the following:\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">\n&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Twenty A320-family jets<\/li>\n<li>Three A330-300s for Lufthansa<\/li>\n<li>Four A320-family<br \/>\n\taircraft<\/li>\n<li>Five A330-300s for Swiss<\/li>\n<li>Eight A319s for Germanwings \n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n&ldquo;Our decision to acquire additional Airbus aircraft<br \/>\nis testament not only to their advantageous operating costs,<br \/>\nreliability and performance, but also to our long-standing partnership<br \/>\nwith Airbus,&rdquo; said Nico Buchholz, Lufthansa executive vice president,<br \/>\ngroup fleet management. &ldquo;These Airbus aircraft will provide<br \/>\neco-efficiency, seamless comfort, passenger appeal and operational<br \/>\nsynergies across the Lufthansa Group.&rdquo;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThe Lufthansa Group, Airbus&rsquo;s biggest airline<br \/>\ncustomer, will have obtained a combined total of 410 Airbus aircraft with this order.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; Lufthansa makes a multi-billion dollar order to Airbus &nbsp; Lufthansa announced Wednesday that they approved an order of 40 Airbus jets worth an estimated $4.3 billion.
