\nAir Canada and United Airlines announced Thursday they will will form a revenue-sharing joint venture for flights between the United States and Canada. By working together, the Star Alliance partners will be able to offer lower fares and improved services to customers.\n<\/p>\n

\nstreamlined travel experience for customers traveling between the
\nUnited States and Canada, providing more travel options and benefits
\nwhile reducing travel times," said Jeff Smisek, United Airlines
\nPresident and Chief Executive Officer.\n<\/p>\n

\nThe joint venture is set to go into effect by early 2011 and is subject to regulatory approval. Both airlines already are apart of anti-trust immunity, which was granted by the US Department of Transportation.\n<\/p>\n
