Due to planned work on a pedestrian plaza in Times Square, the parade will move one street over, from 7th Avenue to 6th Avenue, in 2012 and 2013.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\nCity officials said the parade route will be re-evaluated following completion of the project. The planned move has angered business and hotel owners on 7th Avenue who said they first learned of the change through news reports.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\nMacy&rsquo;s annual celebration, by far the nation&rsquo;s largest Thanksgiving parade, is no stranger to controversial route changes.
