Grant from FAA, IMG Cred: co-Asphalt.com\" width=\"450\" height=\"340\" align=\"middle\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<p align=\"center\">\n<strong>Aspen-Pitkin County Airport Runway&nbsp; <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\nThe Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) granted Pitkin County a $9.1 million grant Thursday.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<br \/>\nIt&rsquo;s for the extension of the Aspen-Pitkin County Airport runway; it&rsquo;ll begin this spring on April 4th with expected completion by November.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<br \/>\nIt will cost $14.5 million for the airport project. Aside from the FAA, the Colorado Division of Aeronautics and airport capital reserve funds have contributed adding up to $13 million.
