This year thousands of onlookers, a healthy mix of Big Apple natives and visitors arriving on holiday <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cheapoair.com\/flights\/cheap-flights-to-new-york-city-nyc-new-york\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">flights to New York City<\/a><\/strong>, will cheer on more than two dozen floats, 11 marching bands, and 1,600 cheerleaders.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/travel.usatoday.com\/destinations\/dispatches\/post\/2011\/11\/wholl-be-in-the-macys-thanksgiving-day-parade\/561230\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">USA Today<\/a> reports scheduled performances from some big name musicians, including Mary J. Blige, Cee Lo Green, Neil Diamond, and Avril Lavigne.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Looking to snag a good viewing spot? You better get there early. The festivities get under way at 9 AM on 77th Street and Central Park West.
