Seattle\u2019s Phinney Ridge neighborhood is home the Woodland Park Zoo<\/a>, a 92 acre zoological park featuring over 1,000 animals including critically endangered Sumatran tigers and adorable Humbolt penguins. Its Northern Trails exhibit is designed to take visitors through the tundra, taiga, and montane while seeing North American animals such as gray wolves, grizzly bears, and Roosevelt elk.\u00a0 The Seattle Aquarium has been delighting sealife lovers down at Pier 51 since it opened its doors in 1977. The aquarium has a focus on Washington\u2019s Northern Pacific waters and features nice exhibits highlighting a variety of ecosystems including rocky tidal zones, shore birds, and the critters that call the Puget Sound home.<\/p>\n
