Everyone in the world seems to know this, as bacon is available in a variety of forms around the world, from the United States to the United Kingdom to Japan. Every country has a different twist on this incredible meat, which leaves hope that \u201cbacon tourism\u201d will catch on as a trend. 1. United Kingdom:<\/strong> I\u2019ve always been a fan of the bacon here, which is a big part of why I love full English breakfasts<\/strong> so much. A slice of bacon is called a \u201crasher,\u201d and it\u2019s thicker and not as crispy as what you\u2019re used to at home. Think of it as a totally new bacon experience and one you need to try!<\/p>\n

2. Italy:<\/strong> You have a few choices here: pancetta, guanciale and lardo. Check out the infographic to see why lardo should be a must-munch on your worldwide bacon itinerary.<\/p>\n

3. Canada:<\/strong> No doubt, you\u2019ve heard of Canadian bacon \u2013 plenty of restaurants in the United States have it on the menu. They don\u2019t call it Canadian bacon, though; they use the term \u201cback bacon.\u201d It can be smoked or not and is cut from the boneless eye of pork loin.<\/p>\n

4. France:<\/strong> On your next trip to Paris, try lard sal\u00e9. This is cured meat and comes from a slab of pig belly. If it\u2019s diced, however, it\u2019s called \u201clardons,\u201d and you\u2019ll usually find it in salads and quiche Lorraine.<\/p>\n

5. Hungary:<\/strong> How about \u201cbacon ready to eat?\u201d At butcher shops in Hungary, you\u2019ll be able to pick up bacon that\u2019s already been cooked, and you can start to chomp on it before you even get out to the sidewalk!<\/p>\n
