{"id":94608196,"date":"2012-07-20T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2012-07-20T09:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cheapoair.com\/miles-away\/family-travel-storybook-circus-at-disney-world\/"},"modified":"2018-11-14T11:52:32","modified_gmt":"2018-11-14T11:52:32","slug":"family-travel-storybook-circus-at-disney-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cheapoair.com\/miles-away\/family-travel-storybook-circus-at-disney-world\/","title":{"rendered":"Family Travel: Storybook Circus at Disney World"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Family Travel: Storybook Circus at Disney World, Flickr: philliecasablanca\" src=\"\/miles-away\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/2012\/7\/StorybookCircusatDisneyWorld.jpg\" alt=\"Family Travel: Storybook Circus at Disney World, Flickr: philliecasablanca\" width=\"450\" height=\"340\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/div>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>Dumbo the Flying Elephant Ride <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The largest expansion in Magic Kingdom history is currently underway in Fantasyland; completed later next year, the land will double its current size.\u00a0 If you don\u2019t want to wait that long to plan your <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cheapoair.com\/deals\/family-travel\">Disney World vacation<\/a><\/strong>, you don\u2019t have to.\u00a0 The new Fantasyland is rolling out in phases, and guests have already begun to experience many elements of the new Fantasyland, especially in Storybook Circus.<\/p>\n<p>Storybook Circus, an area based almost exclusively on the classic Disney film <em>Dumbo<\/em>, has already begun its opening.\u00a0 Everywhere you look in the land there are nods to Dumbo and his circus pals: elephant footprints on the ground and even peanut shells tossed about.\u00a0 One of Disney\u2019s most iconic rides, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, has donned some serious upgrades.\u00a0 As any parent can attest, one of the worst parts of riding the Dumbo ride is the line\u2014waiting (with kids!) in the sun and heat for any extended period of time is certainly one of parenting\u2019s toughest challenges.\u00a0 Luckily, this July, a brand new air conditioned and shaded Big Top will open.\u00a0 Instead of waiting in line, guests will now be able to grab a pager, enter the cool Big Top, and play away at circus themed games and hands-on activities.\u00a0 When it\u2019s time to hop aboard Dumbo, your pager will ring and you will be whisked onto the ride.\u00a0 In addition to this fun play area in lieu of a queue, the ride will soon duplicate itself boasting half the boarding time.<\/p>\n<p>The Casey Jr. Splash \u2018N\u2019 Soak Station has also opened in Storybook Circus land.\u00a0 The area offers guests the chance to cool down with fun and interactive water features based on the Casey Jr. Circus train from Dumbo.\u00a0 Storybook Circus also includes the brand new ride called the Barnstormer, an airplane themed rollercoaster hosted by Goofy.\u00a0 Lots of fantastic new fun in Fantasyland!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Don&#8217;t forget to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/cheapoair\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8216;Like us&#8217; on Facebook<\/a><\/strong> for exclusive travel deals!
