More Than Just Chocolate Actually!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/slideShow\/index.gne?group_id=&amp;user_id=42534814@N02&amp;set_id=72157631969050885&amp;tags=NewYork,chocolate,newyorkchocolateshow,gelato\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nIf you think the New York Chocolate Show is all about <strong><a href=\"\/tag\/chocolate\/default\">chocolate<\/a><\/strong>, well a majority of it is, you\u2019re still in for quite a surprise.<br \/>\nThe 15th annual New York Chocolate Show, held this past weekend at the Metropolitan Pavilion in <strong><a href=\"\/tag\/new%20york%20city\/default\">New York City<\/a><\/strong>, had quite a few standouts, including Screme and Salt of The Earth Bakery.<br \/>\nScreme, one of over 40 vendors at the event, is a gelato company that simply blew my mind.\u00a0 Never before did I have any interest in trying gelato, now I\u2019m on a mission to visit a Screme location and bring my tastebuds back to life.\u00a0 A rep from the company, Nicole, broke down their gelato-making process and made it clear all they care about is the quality of their product.\u00a0 And it\u2019s evident in all of their flavors, some of which are induced with whiskey and tequila. Delicious!<br \/>\nThe aforementioned Salt of The Earth Bakery changed the way I think about cookies! They top their tasty cookies off with some fresh sea salt.\u00a0 It sounds gross, it really does, but it really isn\u2019t!\u00a0 I was overly excited to take some of their cookies home with me, and yeah, they\u2019re already gone.<br \/>\nTickets for the event only ranged from $35 to $50, but you definitely get your fill of free samples and reach new horizons and you\u2019ll probably never come across elsewhere!<br \/>\nKeep an eye out for their show next year by following their website.<br \/>\nIf you&#8217;re a chocolate lover, plan ahead and grab your <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cheapoair.com\/flights\/cheap-flights-to-new-york-city-nyc-new-york\">flight to New York<\/a><\/strong> in advance for next year&#8217;s show!<br \/>\nphoto: Aldo Singer<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you think the New York Chocolate Show is all about chocolate, well a majority of it is, you\u2019re still in for quite a surprise.
