The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) unveiled the new machines at the Philadelphia International Airport this past Wednesday.\n<\/p>\n \n \n<\/p>\n \nThe machines, which have made the news all year for concerns over privacy and health risks, create a computerized image of a person's body. This allows TSA agents to better screen for both plastic and metal weapons. \n<\/p>\n \n \n<\/p>\n \nPassengers that opt out of using the body scanner will receive a pat-down from a TSA agent. Speaking of which, the TSA announced a new way to search people via the pat-down this week.
