JetBlue is looking to add more flights out of Boston <\/strong><\/div>\n

JetBlue Airways is already the largest carrier operating out of Logan International Airport<\/a><\/strong>. However, JetBlue CEO David Barger sees even more growth possible in the coming year.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In a recent interview, Barger said the airline\u2019s goal is 150 flights a day out of Boston, up from the 102 Boston flights<\/a><\/strong> offered daily right now.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To reach that goal, which Barger refers to as the Boston 150 initiative, JetBlue would need to operate more gates at the hub. The airline is reportedly in talks to acquire all of Terminal C at Boston Logan.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It\u2019s certainly been a busy time for JetBlue recently. A down economy means more passengers are searching for cheap flights<\/a><\/strong>, an environment that a discount airline can certainly thrive in.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Next month the airline plans to launch broadband internet in-flight and next spring it will open JetBlue Park, the new Spring Training home of the Boston Redsox in Fort Myers Florida.<\/p>\n
