Foodie Fun
\n<\/strong>Called a foodie’s dream, the\u00a0Manayunk StreEAT Food Festival<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>takes
\nplace on Saturday, September 21, on Main Street Manayunk, and kicks off
\nManayunk Restaurant Week. Wear loose pants because there are food trucks
\ngalore, gourmet food vendors, and endless restaurant dining opportunities.\u00a0 Whether you crave Philadelphia classics,
\nsweets and treats, or ethnic cuisine, this festival dishes up all of it.
\nBetween bites, burn off some calories by dancing to live music or strolling
\nvendors’ stalls where you can buy homemade goods like honey and bread.<\/p>\n

Riverfront Fun
\n<\/strong>A 15-minute drive from downtown Philadelphia is the city of
\nChester, which hosts the Riverfront Ramble on Saturday, September 21, the
\nlargest riverfront party in Delaware County. About 12,000 people are expected
\nto gather at the Wharf on Seaport Drive for this popular event, so get there
\nearly. There’s plenty to do; an antiques car show, live entertainment, an iron
\nchef competition, food, arts and crafts, a petting zoo, and then to cap the
\nevening, a fireworks show over the Delaware River.<\/p>\n

Family Fun
\n<\/strong>The third annual\u00a0PumpkinFest\u00a0<\/span><\/span>will take place Saturday, October 5, from 11 am to 2 pm, and offers several fun
\nactivities for families and is a great opportunity to explore the picturesque
\nFranklin Square at 6th and Race Streets. Franklin Square is one of
\nPhiladelphia’s five original public squares laid out by William Penn, the
\nfounder of Pennsylvania who also directed the development and construction of
\nPhiladelphia.\u00a0 PumpkinFest features a
\ncostume parade, pumpkin painting, pony rides, carnival games, food,
\nentertainment, and spooky mini-golf. Admission to the festival includes
\nunlimited rides on the\u00a0 charming,
\nold-fashioned Philadelphia Park Liberty Carousel.<\/p>\n
