\nThe SFMOMA (Museum of Modern Art) building may be closed for expansion, but the city's love of modern art has burst out of the building and into the streets of San Francisco<\/a>.  Live Projects begin this month, a bimonthly series dedicated to the art and philosophy of contemporary artists that are typically showcased inside the SFMOMA building exhibitions.  <\/p>\n

These unique exhibitions will take place all across the Bay Area and will shed light into the perspective and influence of some of the world's greatest artists.  Each project will feature artist talks, related film screenings, workshops, family programming, and new artist commissions each working together to ensure that a firm grasp of a featured artist's life and work is achieved as visitors explore the Bay Area's cultural icons and geography.  Live Projects are planned to continue until 2016 when the SFMOMA museum will reopen its doors.<\/p>\n

The inaugural Live Projects event focuses on the work of Mark di Suvero, the abstract expressionist sculptor whose works can be found around the entire globe.  The events will follow both di Suvero's art and style, as well as engage his personal story including interest in politics, poetry, sculpture, and imagination.  Events include:\n<\/p>\n
